19. Baby Pygmy

Hippopotamus...Another amazing creature has appeared. Normal hippos are aggressive, but baby pygmy hippos are very friendly creatures. No other creature in the animal kingdom has a longer gestation period than hippos, giving birth to a single baby in about eight months. After bonding with its mother for several weeks, the baby joins a group of older hippos and cooperates to protect its offspring from the threat of predators. This orphaned pygmy hippopotamus baby seems to have a happy bond with its owner.
