3. Baby Kangaroo

Most Australians will know that Joy is a baby kangaroo. Although they are cartoonishly adorable, their journey into this world is quite remarkable. Joy is born in a pouch inside his mother's womb. He weighs less than a gram and measures about one centimetre. He then suckles milk inside the pouch, before making longer and longer journeys outside the safe and warm pouch until he is finally independent. This happens between the ages of 7 and 10 months.
