Sweating is the body's way of regulating temperature

When your body heats up, your sweat glands (2-4 million in number) become active and release water from your skin. When this water evaporates, it takes away body heat and lowers your temperature at the same time.
Sweating alone won't burn fat, but when sweat evaporates, it definitely helps lower your temperature. This is a good indication that you are burning calories while exercising.
This is a sign of dehydration

Sweating is your body's way of controlling temperature. As outdoor temperatures rise, it also helps you stay hydrated.
The problem with excessive sweating and hyperhidrosis (sweating too much all the time) is that it leads to dehydration. When your body doesn't have enough water, it absorbs salts and electrolytes from your muscles and urine, which can cause a variety of symptoms, including muscle cramps.
Dehydration can also dry out your eyes, make you feel like you're covered in sand, and make it hard to see, especially in low-light conditions.
It's a sign of hyperhidrosis

Sweating is a healthy bodily function that helps cool you down and keep you hydrated. Your body contains between 2 and 4 million sweat glands. These glands produce sweat, a liquid that evaporates when you exhale. In
1-5% of people, this normal process goes out of control because faulty nerve signals cause the sweat glands to become overactive and produce excess sweat.
This is a sign of a medical problem

Sweating is a natural part of the body's cooling mechanism. It can also be a response to high temperatures, energy expenditure, and pressure.
Djavavaherian points out that when sweating becomes uneven, this can herald Harlequin syndrome - a rare neurological disorder. It can also indicate the presence of a brain tumor, abscess, or stroke. Some
medications, including opioid painkillers such as morphine (MS Contin) and oxycodone (OxyContin), can cause excessive sweating. If you are taking these medications, talk to your doctor about ways to control or reduce the situation.
